You may not be aware that you have bad breath

What usually happens is that people will not tell you that you have bad breath; they will talk to other people behind your back that your breath is really bad.  They do not want to offend you, even though your bad breath cause is offensive to them.

Bad breath can not only effect your professional life but your personal life as well. Bad breath cause is an embarrassing condition that can be cured or elevated in most cases.

Some Common Bad Breath Causes

Have you seen people shy away from you in the morning when you first get out of bed?  Brushing may alleviate the foul smell for a few hours, but as the day wears on, the rotten smell emanating from your mouth will slowly edge its way into your mouth.  You may notice that people recoil from you when you speak to them one-on-one.  Face your bad breath syndrome, find the cause, and kill it.

Of course, cigarettes and cigars are some of the worse offenders.  These situations can be avoided just by timing your smoking to occur away from people.  Alcoholic drinks is another situation causing bad breath.  And of course, onions and garlic in your last meal is a situational offender.

Halitosis is another name for bad breath.

Using breath fresheners  like sprays, gum and mints will hide the effects of halitosis, especially if it is occasional.  Face your bad breath, now.

But even with the use of breath fresheners, they do not attack the root cause of bad breath which could be caused by certain foods or poor dental hygiene.  These products are only a temporary solution.

Let’s face it…Their effects do not last long

The funky odor coming from your mouth and/or nose may be a chronic condition.  This type of bad breath may occur even with good oral sanitation.  In cases where you do not know your bad breath is offending people around you, your dentist can help.  Prolonged bad breath can be diminished and cured in most cases.
Steps to take to eliminate bad breath

You and I both know, food particles linger in your mouth from when you last ate.  These particles feed a variety of bacteria that are naturally present in your mouth.  Brushing your teeth after you have eaten is an excellent way to eliminate those bacteria from your mouth.  A good toothbrush is your first defense against the bacterium that causes bad breath.  Be sure to get between the teeth.  That is where most bacteria hide because food gets caught between your teeth.  Flossing helps.  Do not neglect the back of your teeth as well as the inside molars.

Dentists advice on bad breath causes

Dentists advocate that you brush for at least two minutes.  This ensures that you reach all the places around your teeth that are the cause of halitosis.  It also gives the fluoride  in your toothpaste time to work.  Make sure you pick the most effective toothpastes and mouthwashes approved by the ADA (American Dental Association)

Face your bad breath head on.  You will be glad you did and your friends will be amazed at the change in the quality of your breath..
